On the water
Sunset by Abra
Our own wooden abra collects you from the hotel jetty an hour before sunset and crosses the creek to Al Seef and the old souks, with cardamom tea and fresh dates on board.
Experiences
The creek, the old town, the desert and the wetlands are all within an hour. Our concierge plans each outing around your day, with a driver, a guide or simply a flask of karak.

On the water
Our own wooden abra collects you from the hotel jetty an hour before sunset and crosses the creek to Al Seef and the old souks, with cardamom tea and fresh dates on board.

Culture
An early walk through Al Fahidi's lanes and wind towers, the textile souk as the shutters go up, and breakfast at a family café our guide has known for years.

Desert
A 05:00 drive into the dunes past Al Marmoom, a quiet walk to the crest for sunrise, then breakfast in the sand under a canvas shade. Back by ten, before the day warms.

Nature
From November to March, hundreds of flamingos feed in the wetlands a few minutes from the hotel. We drive you to the bird hides at dusk with binoculars and a flask of karak.

Private dining
One table on the jetty, a lantern and the creek. Our chef cooks a five-course menu from the day's catch at Deira market; you choose the hour and we leave you to it.

Wellbeing
Steam, a black-soap scrub with a kessa glove and a rinse in warm water from brass bowls, followed by mint tea in the relaxation room. The best cure we know for a long flight.

When to come
From November to March the days are warm and the evenings cool: the time for dunes, flamingos and long dinners outdoors.
From June to September we move everything earlier and later. The desert drive leaves at five, the old-town walk starts at seven, and the abra goes out after sunset. The pools, the hammam and the shade of the palm court do the rest.
Ask the concierge
Falconry, pearl diving history, the best shawarma in Deira: if it is in Dubai, someone on our team knows the way there.
