The story of the house
Built around a courtyard.
Auria opened on the east bank of Dubai Creek in 2024 with an old idea of hospitality: a small house, a courtyard at its centre and the water at the door.

Why the creek
Where the city began.
For a century before the towers, Dubai lived on this water: dhows from India and East Africa, pearl merchants in Deira, abras ferrying everyone across.
We wanted guests to wake up to that view rather than to a beach that could be anywhere. From Creek Harbour you see both cities at once: the old one up the creek, the new one on the horizon, and the Ras Al Khor wetlands just south, where flamingos winter.
How it is made
Stone, timber and shade.
The architecture borrows from the old courtyard houses of Al Fahidi: thick walls, small windows to the street, and every room opening inwards to the palms or outwards to the water.
Local stone
Honed Omani limestone in every bathroom and on the courtyard floor, cool underfoot even in August.
Carved screens
Mashrabiya screens filter the light in the bathing hall and the Majlis, made by a workshop in Sharjah.
A quieter footprint
Solar hot water, no single-use plastic in the rooms, and a share of every stay given to wetland conservation at Ras Al Khor.

The team
Ninety people for twenty-four rooms.
That ratio is the whole idea. It means the person who carries your bags also remembers how you take your coffee, and the concierge has time to plan a day properly.
Our team comes from thirty-one countries, and many of them grew up within sight of a creek, a souk or a desert. Ask them where they eat on their day off.
Guest words
In their own words.
“We watched the towers light up from the bath and never once felt the need to go out. The quietest week we have had in years.”
“The flamingo trip was my children's highlight of the whole holiday. The team had binoculars ready in their sizes.”
“Twelve minutes from the airport, a desk that is actually a desk, and a hammam at nine in the evening. I have changed hotels for good.”
“Dinner on the jetty was perfectly judged: the staff appeared exactly when we needed them, and not once otherwise.”
“Our butler remembered how my mother takes her coffee from the first morning. Small things, every day.”
Come and stay
Room for the rare moments.
